TO MY NASHVILLE and SPRING HILL peeps: My husband is helping - TopicsExpress

TO MY NASHVILLE and SPRING HILL peeps: My husband is helping organize a food drive with a goal of feeding 1000 families to the poorest county in the US-Clay County,KY. On Mon the 24th, they will leave the parking lot of the Port Royal Kroger in Spring Hill and drive 3.5 hrs to Manchester where they will be welcomed by members of the Manchester Baptist Church on Main Street. Starting at noon, they will pass out turkeys, boxes of Stove Top stuffing and cans of green beans. My husband will be in Spring Hill this Sunday Nov 23rd from 6-8 pm collecting donations. Depending on the response of this post, we would like to coordinate another pick up location here in Brentwood over the weekend. OR, we live in Fountainbrooke off of Concord and currently have an empty deep freezer ready to fill up with turkeys. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation or know of a business that would like to help, I will provide those details in comments. On a side note, this is something that has always been on my husbands bucket list. He came up with the idea and is now working with several business leaders in Spring Hill and churches to make this a success for this poverty stricken area. I would love nothing more than to blow him out of the water with TURKEYS and side items from all my people;-) Any volunteers that would like to go along for the ride and help pass out food are more than welcome, I imagine it is going to be a very humbling experience. Thank you for even taking the time to read this, please contact me with questions and I can direct you to my husband who knows more of the specifics. Happy Thanksgiving!
