TOD 15/11 Trae gunh Maya moh hai gurmukh chautha padd paya (ang 30) Trae - three Gunh - qualities Maya - Illusion Moh - attachment Gurmukh - the one who follows the Guru Chautha - fourth Padd - state Paya - attains People living in the 3 states are in the attachment of Maya; a gurmukh attains the fourth state. ---- These are the 3 states - 1. Tamas or tamo - a person lives in the darkness. Darkness of ignorance, vices etc wasting life away. 2. Rajas or Rajo - is when a person lives to achieve and is never satisfied. 3. Sat or Sato - is when a person lives in the righteousness. The person may not have vices or greed but is stuck in rituals or righteous beliefs. The fourth Padd or Turi avastha (state) is when the person is beyond the grasp of the 3 qualities of Maya. The person wouldnt have vices but wouldnt look down upon those who do. The person may be hard working yet be contented and have no jealousy in the heart. The person will be more spiritual than religious. He or she will understand the importance of discipline but always keep the love of humans higher than the love of rules and regulations.
