TODAY...Listening to this angry storm this morning. Its forceful winds, spitting down of hard rains, bombarding with its fierce hail and reminding me of how we can feel at times through lifes injustices and adversities that are pressed upon us. Its as if it came this morning to show me its parallel to the raging storms within our own lives. But it also makes me aware of the fact that when its all over, the sun will shine again, bringing beautiful rainbows, calm and quietude once again. If we can just sit idle inside with ourselves and weather the storm out, all will be just fine. If we trust that God knows the work that this storm has come to cleanse then we have no worries. We dont have to go out into its fierce rage when we have been given shelter (God), instead we can allow it to do its intense cleansing process and open the door to new light when it is finished. The message today is that in our turmoil, we must have faith and let God have the reigns/rains, allow Him to let things blow over, allow Him to cleanse that which needs to be removed from us and after the storm and all is calm, He will shed the light. He has sent this storm for a reason, to teach us something about ourselves but He will also deliver peace and calming if we trust in His divine love and mercy.
