TODAYS CHEERS & JEERS, submitted by 99.1 listener Lisa. CHEERS TO: The individuals involved in postponing the road work on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg prior to WAMBO weekend. This would have certainly slowed up what was otherwise ALMOST a picture perfect weekend in Wallaceburg. JEERS TO: The thoughtless, ridiculous and completely unnecessary spray painting and vandalism in downtown Wallaceburg during WAMBO weekend. I support any human rights movement and have no problem with the Idle No More rallies and peaceful protests. But this is taking things a little too far and as the old saying goes “one bad apple spoils the bunch”. Don’t individuals understand their poor choices make their own people and families look bad? Maybe you should think twice the next time you want to destroy someone else’s property.
