TODAYS DEVOTIONAL (Excerpts from Devotional Box By Dr Isaiah & Lianna Wealth) * * * October 10th, 2014. TITLE: PATIENCE, THE GREASE FOR FORGIVENESS SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Ephesians 4:2) “With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.” * * * Forgiveness is being patient with the imperfect, nurturing the hope that they would someday change. Unforgiveness is strongly connected to impatience. It stems out of the thought that the defaulter will never change. Yet this is not what God’s Word says. Who would ever think that a deserter like Simon Peter would preach the Gospel in the hearing of thousands of persons, out of which three thousand got saved? Every believer is a work in progress. As each one yields his or herself to the Spirit of God through His Word, the Bible says we are changed into the image of Christ by the day. Halleluyah! Therefore, it is expedient that you consider those with whom you have an issue or the other today. See them through the eyes of Christ, forbearing them in love and praying that the Lord would perfect that which He has begun in their lives. As you grow in patience with others, so will your capacity to forgive increase. Glory to God! * * * LIANNA PROPHESIES: Let patience be made perfect in you today in Jesus name. * * * ACTION POINTS DO THIS: Ponder on those times you walked in hate, unforgiveness etc, picture what led to it. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to be patient with others. SAY THIS: I decree and I declare that I am changed from glory to glory. * * * STUDY YOUR BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: EZEKIEL 6&7, LUKE 10, PSALMS 133 * * * TUNISIA 65% out of the over 10 million people in Tunisia are unreached with the Gospel. Muslims are 99% of the population. The necessity of learning Arabic is a barrier to many non-Tunisian Missionaries. However, there are many open doors to share the Gospel than ever before. PRAY FOR TUNISIA: We are praying that more intercessors will arise to break through the centuries-old barrier to the Gospel in Tunisia. * * * STARTUP PRAYER: Dear Lord, cause patience to be built on the inside of me in Jesus name. * * * PRAYER OF CONSECRATION Oh Lord my God, I thank you for your love for me since the year began. Father, I consecrate myself to you this month. Let me not fall short of your best for my life this year. Open my heart to new things by your Spirit. Fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Let my heart yearn for you every hour in Jesus Name.
