RENEW YOUR MIND Mark 2:22 “And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles. “ * * * Man relates with and gathers facts from his environment through his senses. These facts, positive or negative, later sum up to become the premise upon which his judgment and decisions would be made. However, when a man is in Christ, He must learn how to submit his mind to be renewed by God’s Word so that he can experience all that God has promised. * * * At salvation, only a man’s spirit is born again, not his flesh or his soul (mind). His flesh remains as wild as ever and his mind remain as it was before salvation. In the place of fear, doubt and guilt, God would rather you have faith, assurance and peace with Him. These and many more are obtainable from His Word and in fellowship with His Spirit. * * * Salvation was worked into your spirit by God but it is your responsibility to work it into your soul by renewing your mind. Until you begin to relate with God and the things of God just the way God’s Word dictates, you may not access and enjoy His power. So meditate on the scriptures today and every day, allowing God’s Word and not your experience to be the template for your judgment and decision making. An 8.2-magnitude earthquake struck off the northern coast of the South American nation triggering tsunami warnings in Chile.Chileans are familiar with the countrys frequent seismic activity. Even so, the terror of going through an earthquake of this magnitude can affect them for a long time. * * * PRAY FOR CHILE: We are praying for Chile that the peace of God will fill the hearts of the people. CONTINUOUS PRAYING: STARTUP PRAYER: Dear Lord, I pray as I study the word today, let the word gain the ascendency in my life in Jesus name. * * * PRAYER OF CONSECRATION Oh Lord my God, I thank you for your love for me since the year began. Father, I consecrate myself to you this month. Let me not fall short of your best for my life this year. Open my heart to new things by your Spirit. Fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Let my heart yearn for you every hour in Jesus Name.
