TODAYS DEVOTIONAL REFOCUS IN FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD July 20, 2014 By Dr. Isaiah & Lianna Wealth “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 corinthians 3 18 Many people see being born again as an escape route to heaven, but we really get born again so that we can start a journey of becoming like God our Father. Just like a man gives birth to a child and that child has to grow up to become like his father, God has a dream for us. God brought you into the system because He wanted someone like Him. So although you started by being born again, now you have to come up to be like Him, speak like Him, and walk like Him. Until you can face every challenge in your life the way God would, you are not perfect and still have to grow. That is where the culture of spending time with God stems out from, so that what we see in our text today can become a reality. As we spend time with him in fellowship, beholding his face and his word, we are transformed in to the same image by the spirit so that we can become exactly like him. Fellowship was created by God to help us achieve oneness with Him; it is the only tool for developing our spirit and becoming what God wants us to be. You therefore must set out time today to stay in His Presence today and especially throughout this month. WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY (SAY AMEN TO THIS): The grace to become more and more like Jesus is upon you now in Jesus name. PLAN TO: Consider step by step what Jesus would do in certain situations and deliberately set your mind to act likewise. SAY: I decree and I declare that I am growing in the nurture and stature of Christ. Daily Bible Study: JOB 27&28, 1 JOHN 2, PSALMS 51 CONTINUOUS PRAYING i. Startup Prayer: Dear Father, I receive grace to become what you want me to be in Jesus name. ii. Continuous Prayer: Recommended - you can begin with at least 10mins per watch. 6-9am Watch: Look through your Life and thank the Lord for every Good thing that you can find. Psalms 103:2 9-12noon Watch: Pray about challenges around you, your family members, and friends. Ask for Gods intervention. Eph 4:12-15 12-3pm Watch: Pray for your church, its ministers and members, use them as a point of contact to pray for the church world wide. Ask for Gods intervention. Eph 4: 12-15 3-6pm Watch: Pray for your nation, your president, its leaders and the people. Ask for Gods intervention. Psalms 33:12 6-9pm Watch: Pray for the poor, sick and the needy. Pray also concerning the needs of the people that came your way today. Ask for Gods intervention. 3 John 2 REDEDICATE YOURSELF TO JESUS TODAY: Daily Consecration Prayer. Oh Lord, I thank you for the first half of 2014. As this second half commences, I consecrate myself to you body, soul and spirit. Be before me to lead me, behind me to guide me, and by me to teach me. May my life be completely yours and bring you glory. Amen.
