TODAYS LESSON...........ECCLESIASTES 9:11 I have seen something else under the sun. The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. Anyone who has become a Christian quickly finds out that this walk is a marathon, not a sprint. Most Christians when newly converted take off for the finish line with fire, passion and gusto. However, at the first sight of hurdles, many slow down, trip up or fall altogether. The key is to continue the race. But in order to complete the race you have to train your body. Runners need a lot of strength and energy to keep from getting tired and discouraged during the race. By training their bodies and minds they are able to push through to the finish line. It is the same thing with our walk. We have to strengthen our spirit with the word of God. It will bring new energy to our being. We then have to train our bodies and mind, that we are a new creation in Christ Jesus. After we are strengthened, we can then press toward the finish line. Be intentional about completing your race.
