TODAYS TALKBACK: Congressional candidates are using taxpayer dollars to send campaign material through the mail. Its a legal process known as franking. The law dates back to the Revolutionary War era. It was designed to allow lawmakers to send their constituents updates. Nowadays, it gives incumbents an extra advantage over challengers, as they can send campaign material without drawing from their campaign funds. What do you think? Should Congress be allowed to use taxpayer dollars to mail political material?
