TODAYS THOUGHT. Our knowledge of Jesus must never be at second hand. A man might know every verdict ever passed on Jesus; he might know every Christology that the mind of a man had ever thought out; he might be able to give a competent summary of the teaching about Jesus of every great thinker and theologian-and still not be a Christian. Christianity never consists in knowing ABOUT Jesus; it always consists in KNOWING Jesus. Jesus Christ demands a personal verdict. He did not ask only Peter, he asks every man: You....what do you think of me.? No one is perfect in this world, as human beings we are all apt to committing mistakes. But the greatness lies, in forgiving those mistakes. Forgiveness is the key to achievements in life, not money alone. In a good marriage the family will hang a Holy Family picture in their homes! Why? The Holy Family picture reminds every parent, how holy their own family is and they expect protection for them selves and their children, so they keep praying intensively and strenuously to the Holy Family regularly. Unavoidable situations sometimes occur and the family gets disrupted. But Jesus has given us remedies to put on track disrupted families. We hang our family photos on the wall. It is to remind us of our unique love for our family members. Every family is unique in the eyes of God. And every child is unique in the eyes of its parents. Yes it is true, one cannot compare the love of a mother to any kind of other love. The poor woman will go to the extreme to make sure; her child is out of any kind of trouble or danger that might lurk around it. We must never cease praying for the better half, who might want your prayers; and only prayers will help one to stabilize your home life. Never ever give up hopes on your better half! When the wind was contrary and life became a struggle, Jesus was there to help the apostles in their fishing boat. No sooner a need had arisen, Jesus was there to help, cure and save. We see him curing physical disability. The lame, the maimed, the blind, the deaf, the dumb, the lepers are all cured. Every one and any body that asked to be cured and was placed at his feet, he cured them all. Jesus is infinitely concerned with the bodily pain of the world. In life, sometime, the wind blows contrary, one time or the other. There are times we get upset with life. Life becomes a desperate struggle with us, with our circumstances, with our sorrows. At such hours, no man or woman need to struggle alone, for Jesus comes to us across these storms of life, with hands stretched out to help us and with his calm and clear voice telling us, to take heart and have no fear, but have faith. I have faced some worse days, months and years in my life. I am able to write all this due experience. The victor is the man who refuses to believe that God has forgotten him, even when every fiber of his being feels that he is forsaken. The victor is the man who will never let go his faith, even when he feels that its last grounds are gone. The victor is the man who has been beaten to the depths and still holds on to God, for that is what Jesus did. To give us courage at such times when we feel we are lost!
