TODAY’S WORD: 26th June, 2014 Genesis 14:19-20 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest of the most high God, met father Abraham on his way back from the slaughter of the kings who fought Sodom and Gomorah and captured Lot and his family (Hebrews 7:1-2). Melchisedec blessed him by saying blessed be ABRAM OF THE MOST HIGH GOD. This statement is what caught my attention, calling Abraham after the most high God. No wonder God was always fighting Abraham’s battles. When Abimelech in Genesis 20 took Abraham’s wife even without Abraham saying anything (the bible did not tell whether he prayed) God went in a night vision, declared Abimelech a dead man and instantly every women (wives and slaves alike) in his household became barren (Genesis 20:1-18). If you are God’s and God is yours, you can be sure of continuous victory even without a fight. You remember the scripture that says …What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31). Nothing can defeat anyone that is truly called after God. I John 4:4; Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. If God is your owner, the one your allegiance belongs to, the only one you serve and worship in spirit and in truth, then you can go to sleep. Let the whole world come against you, without shooting a gun, without any fight and even without saying a word you will be victorious. Pray with me: Father, thank you for your word of life to me today, I declare today that I belong to you. My body, spirit and soul belong to you, take possession and give me all-round victory in Jesus name.
