TOP 10 FINISH FOR SCHREYER & GOLDFINCH IN THE BATHUSRT 1000 Today was the day to enter a new era of events......... The first ever iracing , OSR Race of Champions, Bathurst 1000. 51 teams were successful in making the cut for the full length 161 lap, 2 driver race with Synergy Sim Racings 2 pairings gridding up in 8th Wayne Bourke/Todd Parkes #89 and 11th Michael Schreyer/Rhys Goldfinch #30. Both teams had a fantastic start and settled into a rythm for the first stint working on the plan for fuel usage and possible tyre pressure changes for the day. An unfortunate moment on top of the mountain on lap 67 after a brake adjustment shortly after Wayne Bourke relinquished the driving duties to Todd Parkes caused the car to turn into the wall damaging the steering and needing a pitstop, with no free repairs remaining, the mechanics took quite some time to finish and leaving the car under powered. The car continued up until lap 109 when the engine finally gave out ending an incredibly strong run from car #89, though not showing it in the 40th place result. In the other garage Rhys and Michael #30 had a very up and down race, from running in the top 10, to hitting spun cars at The Grate on lap 45 (a quick repair was very welcomed at this point).....the pair plugged away lap after lap to finish up in an incredibly impressive 10th position. Synergy Sim racing would like to thank OSR, V8SONLINE for an massive effort in organising, running and making this a no doubt calendar certain pilgrimage each year.
