This decision only shows that the congressmen and senators belong to an old boys club. They may appear credible if they do not conduct the investigations and at the same time they keep themselves at least temporarily from accessing their PDAF because anyway they can still perform their tasks as legislators even without their PDAF. Abolition of the PDAF will eliminate graft and corruption which traditionally is the source of legislators to bankroll their elections and re-elections and promotion of political dynasties. Intelligence funds of the local executives should be abolished too which id the counterpart of the executives in the local government level. Abolition of the PDAF will also facilitate the election of true legislators as aspirants for congressmen and senators will only be interested to represent the people and nothing else like contractors and commissioners of government projects.
