TOP TEN REASONS TO VOTE FOR ME ON OCT. 15TH: Reason #6: I will go to Washington to be a fighter! Massachusett’s 5th District deserves to have a Representative who is willing to stand up to the well-financed teams of lobbyists working for oil companies, big banks, and corporations who refuse to pay fair wages. We deserve someone who will go to bat for working families, seniors, immigrants, students, the LGBT community, and the all-too-often-forgotten Americans who are living in poverty. We need someone who will go to Washington and do more than just vote the right way most of the time – we need an organizer – someone who will rally the votes to actually make real, progressive change happen. Governor Deval Patrick says we need more Democrats with “backbone,” and I couldn’t agree more. I didn’t run for state rep 10 years ago just to go-along-to-get-along, and I’m not running for Congress to sit on the sidelines and play nice with the Tea Party. If you send me to Washington I promise to make you proud by fighting for you every day!
