TOTAL TRANSPARENCY: in the event that any of you think that my walk with the Lord comes very easily and naturally..... not always. I go through days and weeks (and once. .. years) where I feel like my prayer life is boring (Same prayers; different days. Lord, do you hear me????) I go through seasons where I struggle to read my Bible and by struggle I mean.... I dont. (And I am not ashamed to admit that- I read other Christian books or listen to Christian teachings.) The point is, even during times when things feel stale, we have to keep plugging through. Our relationship with the Lord is usually never stagnant. We are either growing in our relationship with Him or we are backsliding. And we must be in relationship with the Lord to hear from Him on the matters of our life. My problem is that I will get up to read and to pray and then I will remember that the laundry needs put in the dryer. Or my phone dings that I got an email. Or I will notice that I need to go thru a stack of mail. Or.... squirrel!!!! The enemy of our soul aims to bait us with DISTRACTIONS!!! This morning, I got up and literally paced my living room floor and just poured my heart out to the Lord. It felt so good to be in His presence and lay my requests before Him BOLDLY!! We need breakthroughs in many areas of our life!!! Be encouraged today my friends.... if you dont even know where to start, start by talking to the Lord like you would your BFF. And then... BE STILL. Listen for him to talk back. He will if we can simply BE STILL enough to hear! You are never too far gone to come back. And your Father in Heaven wants to hear from your heart. Xoxo, Jennifer
