TOTALLY PERFECT DAY FOR MOVIES!!!! Coffee, hot chocolate, Baileys, Peppermint Schnapps and whipped cream! Local beers and popcorn--AND MOVIES at the Roseville Festival of Film & Animation Come spend the WHOLE DAY with us for only $10--all regular concessions are $1! Or stop by for a program or two for only $5--you win! For the whole family, at 1pm we screen the premiere of Maya the Bee--were screening this film ahead of its US distribution release date! Everyone’s favourite little bee, Maya is set to return this year in the brand new feature film Maya the Bee Movie. Based on the children’s book from 1912 and the ABC TV series Maya the Bee, this animated movie will be buzzing into cinemas nationally from Saturday November 1st. Featuring a strong voice cast award-winning Australian actors such as Jacki Weaver, Noah Taylor, and Justine Clarke, the film also introduces young actor Coco Jack Gillies as Maya. Friendship, freedom and courage are at the heart of this exciting adventure, as Maya escapes the hive and buzzes out into the meadow on an exhilarating adventure of self-discovery, with her best friend Willi by her side. Maya the Bee Movie will be flying into cinemas Australia wide on Saturday November 1st 2014. Watch the first trailer below! After this at 3, the competitions begin! Live action US Short Films, followed by Live Action Intl Short films at 4:45, then International Animated shorts at 630--dozens of incredible films--and then the Art Institute of Sacramentos Animated Film Challenge in which 17 students created animated short films in a week! Finally, Spike and Mikes Sick and Twisted at 9pm. A full day of films on a rainy day for only $10--and with in and out privileges, you can take a break any time and eat at one of the restaurants only a block away, such as The Monks Cellar for English fare, Sammys Island Bar and Grill for a more tropical selection, The Places excellent Italian food, or Nelas authentic Mexican cuisine (with giant, GIANT burritos!). And whats more, Rosevilles OCTOBERFEST takes place, rain or shine, only a block away--sample multiple beers from around the region, then head back here for some awesome films. DONT BE FOOLED.
