TOWN MEETING WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 25, 2013 -- 8:00pm LOCATION - MILL CREEK ELEMENTARY TOPIC - COMMUNITY MEETING WITH COUNTY COUNCILMAN PHIL ANDREWS This is your opportunity to ask Councilman Andrews questions about issues that concern you and the community: the proposed sports arena at Shady Grove Metro, taxes, budget priorities, the development around Metro, and other county issues. At the September meeting of the Greater Shady Grove Civic Alliance, Phil Andrews, the elected County Council Representative from District 3, which includes most of Derwood, will speak about Montgomery County priorities and address concerns of the Derwood community. The meeting will begin at 8:00 PM with a presentation by Councilman Andrews on the current issues being addressed by the County. Questions from the audience will follow. A sign-up sheet will be available and those who have signed up will be called upon first to ask questions. It is very important that we have a good turnout for this meeting since it reflects the communities concern and involvement in the political process. Our representative to the County Council can only reflect your concerns if he knows what they are. Community input impacts decisions about what takes place in our area. Please encourage your neighbors to attend. Let Phil know that Derwood cares. THIS MEETING IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
