TOWN OF BELVILLE UNDER STATE OF EMERGENCY TOWN OF BELVILLE – Mayor Mike Allen declared a state of emergency for the Town of Belville at 6:15pm this evening due to severe weather conditions caused by a rare coastal ice storm. Mayor Allen and the Board of Commissioners encourage all residents to stay off of the roads, as dangerous conditions exist. Town officials are in constant contact with emergency management officials and the weather service and will provide updates, as they become available. Town Hall is closed on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, however essential personnel are on staff to serve the citizens. DURING WINTER WEATHER · Stay indoors during severe winter weather. · Do not park on streets so that plows and other equipment can service the area. SHELTERS · A pet-friendly shelter opened at West Brunswick High School at 1 p.m. today. Stay tuned to your local radio and televisions stations for additional information.
