TRAFFIC CONCERNS ADDRESSED IN MALAHIDE . . . Concerns over an increase in the number of horse-drawn vehicles travelling on roads north of Aylmer has prompted an awareness campaign aimed at motorists and pedestrians. Elgin OPP are partnering with the Township of Malahide and the Amish Safety Committee to initiate dialogue regarding public safety and traffic concerns along Glen Colin and College lines in Malahide. The area in question - northeast of Aylmer - is populated by many members of the Amish Community, resulting in an increased number of horse-drawn vehicles and pedestrians, primarily through school zones.
