TRANSLATION Good morning, today I would like to share with you a report made about my musical work. Its todays cover story in São Paulos Court of Justice website. I work there for thirty years, quite the same time as an Artistic Producer and Musician. “The love for music from a descendant of ancient Greece”. Like his greek ancestors, Pedro Georges Eleftheriou concentrates various professions in a single person: poet, musician, artistic producer, sound engineer and clerk at São Paulos Court. The portrayed this month on Justice Social Project has 30 years as an artistic and independant producer and also 30 years on the Court. The surname Eleftheriou, which means liberator, comes from the parents , Georges and Stamatia - immigrants that settled here in Brazil looking for a better life in a promising country . Pedro was born in São Paulo, in Ipiranga district, right next to the site of Independence. He graduated as sound engineer and started his career recording and mixing for studios and radios. The inevitable next step was the independent production, because at that time, the access to recording and music production was prohibitive to most musicians. The musician-clerk made artistic production and recording of several LPs and CDs of brazilian bands, including the presentation of the first Rock Opera from Brazil with the group III Milênio (CD released in France). Other internationally recognized works were the two CDs of Blezqi Zatsaz, with keyboardist Fabio Ribeiro (CDs released in France and Italy). He went through several musical styles, always trying to do something different than the record companies and the mainstream proposed as music for consuming. To Eleftheriou, the peak of his career was the work he produced with the italian group Ataraxia (CD A Calliope...) released and staged in several countries (Brazil, Italy, Spain, Chile, Mexico, Portugal, Germany and China). After many trips and tours he slows down to stay closer to his family, mother, wife and his children Ioannis and Catherine. The Court in his life - Eleftheriou reports that in his early readings as well as in blood, philosophy has always been present and from the ideal of transforming, came the passion for poetry and music - the utopia of learning and always searching. Was stated in the ancient hellenic culture that Justice is a virtue, so when came the opportunity to work at the Court, Ive been involved - that will be my other share to society. He joined the TACrim (Court of Criminal Appeals) in 1984, 20 yo, with dreams and ideals for a better world. The technical legal clerk worked in various areas of judicial activity. In his career are included technical directories. microfilming and xerography, maintenance and graphic dept..After the unifications of the Courts, he returned to the maintenance sector where remains until today. all that during the day, but night is a child and he always loved music he says. His artistic fruit - Pedro reveals that, by ideology, never worked with mainstream labels and always sought to make a contribution through the freedom of expression and the pioneer of the independent market. A week before his mother died, she asked him to stop producing for others and do his own work. He began outlining the concept the same day. During illness (three years of fighting cancer), he began studying music therapy and began writing some themes that were played at night, to alleviate her suffering. Even suffocated by pain, she still found words of encouragement for me to take this project forward. After she found comfort in Creators arms, I decided that at all costs, this project would become a reality. And it happened! reveals moved. The fruit is an instrumental CD titled The Sublime Power of the Path. According to him, the project was conceived after some experiences that led him to conclude that love, when sublime, can bring a true sense and meaning to our existence. Hence the name Sublimis Amoris. The leitmotif of this work seeks to transform the expression of human feeling in tangible art, establishing a relationship between music and mind, between music and emotions. The mastering (sound finalization) was held at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London by Peter Mew veteran who worked with the Beatles, David Bowie and Marillion. To Eleftheriou, the sixteen unreleased tracks are not just a subjective language, but as mentioned by Goethe, music is a transcendent means, absolute, for sharing feelings towards a higher sphere of order and beauty. The result is a music that permeates between neoclassical and contemporary. Much of the work, composed in collaboration with conductor and arranger Gil Vieira, is waiting for an opportunity for a live performance, with all the musicians and the Chamber Orchestra. The CD also has the special participation of the russian poetess Margaret Gudkov who kindly wrote the poems that accompany the inserts. Pedro made the poetic version in portuguese. Three tracks on the CD have music videos on YouTube, filmed in Romania and edited by Andreea Petcu. Message - At the time of the great greek philosophers, it was said that what is great and sublime, is that when admired, makes us have the spirit suspended for a time, being very difficult to resist the emotional action and this sensation is kept firm and indelibly in our memory. The music I compose reveals the hidden sentiment at the heart of the soul, in contrast to the explosion imposed by the media, vulgar consumerism and the ordinary disposable culture. I want to be apart from the sterility which nowadays occupies human life and this will only be possible on the day when all music, all literature and all art became virtues! he concludes.
