Ensure that the requirements for the supply of infrastructure needs are met in advance; optimal capacity and effective and efficient business development / operations by analysing the business of the stakeholders to help identify problems and propose solutions, and to apply analytical skills to business requests and communicate these business wants / needs in a clear and unambiguous manner. Conduct Industry and Terminal performance, trend/capacity analysis through systematic research and to secure relevant information; identify key issues and relationships from a base of information; relating and comparing data; identifying cause-effect relationship, to provide business intelligence to processes within the Ports operations thereby ensuring effective and effecient strategic vision formulation in business development. - Operational Reporting to EXCO, OPCO and Transnet Governance structures - Undertake business development / analysis projects and to facilitate workshops with clients to achieve business goals -Implement appropiate monitoring and control measures as part of project execution. - Undertake productivity studies/analysis and furnish reports on operational efficiency of terminals to ensure optimal utilization of Port Infrastructure. - Develop, monitor and manage the operations Management information systems analyse and interpret information and provide solutions/recommendations to improve port performance. - Liaise with all relevant stakeholders and obtain input efficiency, effectiveness and bottlenecks on the ports operations. - Undertake scientific studies, using appropiate tools to determine poor performance or improve performance of available assets. - Perform detailed analysis of key operational failure / success to ensure effective learning, timeous corrective action or continuous improvement. - Develop and implement solutions, best practices and processes to ensure effective learning, timeous corrective action or continuous improvement. - Conduct supply chain analysis and business risk assessment / mitigation - Intergrity of business and compliance reporting Qualifications & Experience : * Honours Degree in Operations or Business Management or Equivalent NQF Level 6 * Qualification in informatics / business process re-engineering is an advantage.
