TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY CAUSED BY A FAULTY ATV-FAMILY NEEDS HELP WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF YOUR HELP PLEASE TAKE 30 SECONDS TO SHARE THIS POST ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE My husband, Allen was in an ATV accident due to a faulty rented ATV. Allen fell 40 feet off of a cliff on to a boulder. Allen was in a coma & on life support & had many surgeries due to crushed ribs, punctured & collapsed lungs, pneumonia, fractured skull, broken spine, and many other injuries. The doctors all said it was a miracle he lived through the fall & that his minimum recovery time is a year. After being released from the hospital, he was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury & nerve damage, which will require more surgeries & extensive neuropsychiatry out-patient care, including 5 day a week PT, OT,ST, counseling, & meeting with his Psychologist. His brain damage has caused loss of memory & loss of being able to function on his own & has caused severe depression and now seizures so he will also be treated for that. . Allen is a hard worker & an awesome husband. Allen has always taken care of me & now it’s my turn to take care of him but I need your help. I know that if you were in his shoes, he would go out of his way to give you his last $5 to his name Allen had no type of benefits at his job so he has no income & doesn’t qualify for any help from the state or government because of my income & as a result the family’s income has been cut in half. .The ATV Rental Company is suing them for $6900. And they can’t find an attorney to take their case because we signed waivers which are considered legally binding in Colorado & it would be hard to prove the ATV was faulty after falling 40 feet. My job won’t allow me to solicit for funds or do a fundraiser at work & the people at my work are the only people I know in Colorado. Due to ongoing expenses of medical expenses not covered by insurance, legal bills, & every day expenses a fund has been established by Allen’s sister. . I appreciate all the prayers that are coming our way because we need them but right now we are desperate for funds. I am begging and pleading for all of my friends, family, co-workers & even good- hearted strangers for help. If anyone knows of a company in your town or works for a caring company that will donate or even just hang the flyer in their place of business or put out a donation jar, this would help so much. Please share this post with your employer. Think of who you know that runs a business that has the heart & ability to reach out & help a stranger in need. Really think about the businesses that make donations all of the time for people in need. Maybe your church could even help with donations.
