TRIBUTE TO A FRIEND AND A COMRADE:ADAMS UNAJI! My bother and friend,comrade and compatriot per excellence,the news of your demise which came to me this afternoon(July 5th) came to me as a THUNDER BOLT.I cant imagine a comrade articulate and dogged in fighting the Nigerian battle all of a sudden died in his prime when his services are most needed.Comrade Adams Unaji ,i just remembered with deep sense of loss and nostalgia the first time we met each other not even in Nigerian soil but in CALAVI,in far away Benin Republic.That was November,2001.Myself,Chijike Ndukwu, another Nigerian lady and YOU were delegates from Nigeria for the International Conference on Peace and Conflict Resolution organized by United Nations of Youth Foundation(UNOY)based in the Netherlands.From the conference we became friends,exchange contacts and after the conference we have become close and often collaborate on common issues to both of us like Peace and Conflict Resolution,Democracy and Good Governance Human Rights and Civil Society etc.Am short of words to write a piece by way of Tribute to a friend faithful and JUST to me but i will be justified by both friends and foes alike to say that Comrade Adams Unaji CAME,SAW and CONQUERED.Your achievements on this planet earth has already immortalized your name.My friend,Colleague,Cmrade,and compatriot fare thee well,we shall meet on the resurrection morning to part no more!
