TRICARE, how in the world do you tell Senator Donnellys office and myself one thing; then tell Congressman Rokitas office something completely different? Anyone who deals with them wont be shocked. You can ask them a question get an answer, hang up, call back, talk to someone else, and they will tell you something different. Glad I pay for this sweet healthcare that is the model for the Affordable Healthcare Act! Me: What do you mean I cant talk to anyone in appeals? You dont need any other paperwork? Tricare:No! Me: Great! What is the status? Tricare: It is being investigated by the medical necessity board. Me:Is the reviewer a doctor? An ENT, someone that understands genetics? Tricare: I am not sure. Tricare to Rokita: we need more paperwork. We are mailing a letter in a few days to tell them that. I think I am going to lose my mind. Very thankful to Senator Joe Donnelly and his office for their help. This is one of the most ridiculous and frustrating experiences ever. I am glad they are investigating how many denials get overturned. You shouldnt deny people in the hopes they wont try again to save money in the short term. Either way, as leaders of this country, how about we fix the healthcare military families get instead of all of your other non-sense. It is lame duck. You really arent that busy. Hopefully, one day I look back at these moments, but there will be absolutely no laughter. Probably a strong sense of hatred for an organization and the lawmakers that allow it to happen.
