TRIP TO SYDNEY FOR ALL MY COMICS. I decided to take another trip to Sydney. I packed a port and took the rubber glue with me to give to dad. Once there, I was told to put the bucket under the steps in the back. I did that and I saw two cartons sitting under the steps that were full of comics. I asked Maria about them and she said, they are all your comicks that Tom and I took from you before you was admitted to the mad house. You can have them if you want them, take them all or they will go to the dump. I’ll take them when I go to Brisbane tomorrow I said. What you want all that rubbish for I don’t know she said. I want to read them was my answer, then I’ll sell them and get some money out of them. My Step – mother told me to do that, we are cleaning out she said, there will be much more next time you come. I said, there were books of mine also that I bought at Paddy’s Markets and they were all taken from me. Next time you come she said. Grandma came downstairs for vegetables, she picked up the bucket of glue and threw it down on the cement. I saw that and moved it so it doesn’t spill. Few minutes later, she smashed the bucket down hard, the lid came off and all the glue was lost. Didn’t dad go mad at her for it? He wanted it to make a mattress from foam with. I grabbed the two cartons of comics and threw them aside, so they don’t get stuck up and ruined with the glue. What you want all that rubbish for? grandma asked me. It’s not rubbish I said. We are going to take them to the dump she said. No you not I said, they are mine and I’m taking them with me tomorrow. I took them in dad’s shop, found some rope and tied the boxes up with it. I put them behind the counter and on Sunday afternoon, Tom drove me to Central interstate where I took a trolley and put my port with all the comics on while I waited for my train. Those comics were a treasure to me, otherwise they would have become rubbish. I got a bus to get home with all that stuff. Mrs Wicks asked me about them and I said. They are all my comics that my brother and sister stole from me before they took me to the mental hospital. You told me that before. I got them back now I said, more stuff will be waiting for me next time I go down. I’m going to read them all I said, than I’m going to sell them. I should make money out of them because they are from the sixties and in good condition.
