TROYS SONG OF THE DAY: South of the Border by Chris Isaak. Originally written for the 1939 Gene Autry movie titled the same; besides by Autry, South has been recorded by a number of artists including Roy Rogers, Herb Albert, Dean Martin, & Patsy Cline. This version is by Isaak is known for his Wicked Game recording. This recording is from Isaaks 1996 Baja Sessions album, & he does an excellent job. South is one of my all time favorites, & one I have performed numerous times over the years! So for your Friday evening, I offer something with a little southwestern feel!!
