TSMP Soccer Never content to spend an off day simply taking a break, a bunch of us decided it would be a great idea to run around in the noonday sun kicking a ball for charity instead on the Hari Raya Haji holiday. Shen Yi, Ian, Len, Fred, Nicole, Yu Hang, Jonathan, Purch, Jeff, Jonathan Thio and his schoolmate, and Esmond our erstwhile trainee, donned cleats at the inaugural Clifford Chance Morgan Stanley Charity Futsal Tournament, held to benefit the Casa Raudha Women Home (an IPC for abused women) and Child at Street 11 (a non-profit organization providing early education for kids from low income/dysfunctional families). Alas though, we failed in our cunning plan of getting knocked out early (so we could all get out of the hazy sun and go for lunch), instead advancing top of our group to the quarters where we then beat Clifford Chance to progress to the semis. There we narrowly lost 2-1 to Deutsche Bank, comfortably finishing as top law firm out of all the QFLPs and Big Four firms that played.
