Just the other day I saw the Minister of Tourism complaining that T & T does not have the landscape demographics of a Jamaica, Cuba, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, Tobago and other Caribbean regions as to justify why tourism is not being a financial resource. He even brought in big Hotelier Alan Chest nard from St. Lucia to tell me how to make money via, tourism and now the Ministry is said to be targeting 500.000 tourist by the end of the year. What the Ministry is not telling you is! These arrivals does not necessarily mean tourism. It could mean a number of things, such as in transit, business, returning citizens, etc, etc and arrivals are arrivals, but don’t claim tourism. T & T has nothing to attract TOURISM outside of Carnival. Nothing! This Ministry just like the rest, that is on a one term governing basis and is telling lies to the public to deflect CRIME, something that the Minister has never addressed. Probably you may see some Hotels going up after they demit office, but I would like you the citizens to find out who are behind these hotels. My plea to the PM is to make I would like to make the Minister of Tourism or Minister of Housing, the new Minister of National Security. See page 5 for more details!
