TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL I have to admit, the main reason I wanted to see this movie was because one of the lead actors is Alan Tudyk. He was Wash in my all-time favourite series, Firefly and he’s one of the best character actors in the business today. Once I watched Tucker And Dale Vs Evil, however, I was beside myself with laughter. This can only be described as a comedy of mistaken identity and miscommunication. I’m reviewing this after my umpteenth rewatch and I am yet to tire of it. The basic premise is the old hillbilly versus college kids slasher flick but the similarities to that end there. The comic slant that is put on this movie is refreshingly original and utterly hilarious. To tell you anything more would be spoiling what is a very different horror comedy, one that is at home against the likes of Shaun Of The Dead, although this is an American production. Seriously side-splitting from start to finish, if you don’t love this movie then you’re not as warped as I am.
