TUE 9TH SEPT TLST (MORNING) TOPIC:- LET GOD DIRECT YOUR PATHS TEXT:- PROVERBS 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” Good morning, I’ll like to share a testimony about myself so you can know that men’s understanding is limited and at the end of it all, you’ll have to ask yourself, ‘why do I have to lean on my own understanding?’ Sometimes ago not too long, I was an applicant and was summoned for a pre-recruitment test, I was there the first day for the test and I passed gallantly, we were told to resume the second day for interview and because of the overwhelming joy of the fact that I passed, I was there the second day for interview and documentation, fully kitted in my suit and believing that just my dressing will qualify my, in the course of the interview, the head of the interview was on the sit with 2 others, because of my own understanding, I decided not to go to the woman who is the head just because she was harsh in her approach towards all that she had attended to. I eventually go there and when I did the interview, the interviewer gave a high score, but when I dropped my documents to be checked, the man quickly rejected it based on an adjustment which I did because of my own understanding again, Immediately my case got the attention of the whole hall and I was accompanied out of the hall with a security man who said ‘I don’t want to see you here again!’. When I got home, it was a time for vigil that night; I was at the vigil with an unsettled mind for the stressful and unsuccessful day, so worried and bothered about the fact that I just lose my chance of getting employed after times of unemployment. While in the midst of a disturbed mind, God find me and whispered to heart this bible portion that says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding…..” then I figured I have leaned so much on my understanding in up to three places and after the vigil, I decided not to sleep, my prayer to God was for Him to direct my path because my understanding had failed me. Until 4am when I asked the Lord that ‘should I go?’ and the Lord said ‘go’ and again, I said ‘if I go again, will I possess my possession?’ and the Lord said ‘YES’. Behold, I got back to the same place in the morning, dressed a little tattered than that of the previous day and nobody questioned me, the same woman whom I was afraid of was the one who attended to me, this same woman whom I was running from because of her harsh attitude collected my documents without questions, she acknowledged it and congratulated me. Isn’t it the Lord’s doing? If the Lord had not directed my path, I could have just forfeited the opportunity. The Word of God is active and living. If we put His Word into our minds and meditate on it, God has the ability to bring it back in each and every situation to maintain peace in your life. God hears every prayer and cares about every circumstance. Trust in Him and He will direct your paths in Jesus Name. ***Prayer:- Lord I confess to you that my understanding is of no match to your direction, Please direct my path each day of my life***
