TUESDAY ACTION! Despite seeing a lot of Striders dragging a bit after a 3 day holiday weekend, soon after we kicked it in and a lot of fun intervals and fun times ensued. My thanks to the somewhat smaller but nonetheless 34 wonderful group of friends and athletes who came to play this morning! It was nice to see Tanya Strauss Lenhardt # 2 getting in some miles with her routing mentor Miss JoAnn JoAnn Payne Chang. Nice 4 miler ladies! A tip of the hat to Miss Jen Fischer-Martinez # 7 who I understand ran her VERY FIRST set of intervals with her taskmasters Chrissy Gardner Bell and Claudia Aguilar # 2. You three looked strong!! When not smack talking each other, Darrin Payne and Chris Nicely Snyder had solid 5ers. Jackie Bradley and Rachel Gandee were in Yasso Heaven nailing 6 of those sweet bad boys. KarenandDavid Griner nailed her 5 and is getting ready for those 11 Half Marathons she had her sports agent sign her up for. Little Michele Howard simply powered her speedy self to a very nifty and productive 6. It was so good to see a large contingent of our veteran Tri Stars out with us including, Tom Connolly # 2, Joe Massa # 2, Stan Fivecoat, Rodney Daulton, Clark Parry Sr., Doug Erickson, Scott Vaughn # 1, Tara Vaughn # 1 and Nancy Raimo. You all looked sharp! Mica Butterwood, Leah Cornell # 1, Jo aka Joanna Flower and Natalie Moore all looked as smooth as silk. The trio of Melanie A Billington # 1, Heather # 3 and Kim Clesas Loumakos chatted it during their entire run which we are beginning to understand is normal for them. And lastly, we had 2 doctors in the Strider house running strong, Rudy and Randy are getting Space Coast ready! In the Strider Show and Tell department what a thrill to see Stans crowning achievements over these past 3 weeks with 3 medals. Thanks man! And lastly, and most concerning, we saw Leah Rachel Thompson # 3 wandering around the parking lot twirling a set of car keys. We shudder to think……have a great rest of your day everyone, a great morning in Strider Nation!
