TURNING COACH KESHI INTO AN ABIKU!The word Abiku is a Yoruba word for a spirit child.It refers to a child who must die and repeatedly be reborn.According to Yoruba belief,it is the same child who dies and returns again and again to plague the mother usually with a trait,mark or bodily feature by which it is identified.Perhaps the above analogy captures succintly the emergence of Former Super Eagles captain and former coach of Togo and Mali,Stephen Okechukwu Keshi,on Nigeria football firmament and his strange refusal to leave the scene when the ovation is loudest.The question that comes to the lips of the fans who are still mourning our non-qualification for the 2015 AFCON is this:IS KESHI AN ABIKU?He reportedly resigned after winning the 2013 AFCON in South Africa but somehow he came back.Also after the World Cup in Brazil he ran out contract but somehow he came back.Again after falling to Sudan the new NFF announced his sack but somehow he came back to lead the Eagles to games against Congo and South Africa.Now the Amaju Pinnick-led NFF are planning to give the same Keshi a new contract.What is going on?
