TWO EX- FRA EMPLOYEES ARRESTED The Anti-Corruption Commission in Mansa has arrested two (2) former Food Reserve Agency employees for corrupt practices involving over K 7, 000. Godfrey Yabe of house no, 429 Medium Density area in Mansa, and Dewin Mbolela of Komboniya Site and Service in Mansa, both formally based at Mansa FRA Main Depot were arrested on 10th July 2014 and have been jointly charged with two (2) counts of fraudulent false accounting contrary to Section 326 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia, one (1) count of Theft by Public Servant contrary to Section 277 of the Penal Code Cap 87 of the Laws of Zambia, and one (1) count of uttering a false document contrary to Section 352 of the Penal Code Cap 87 of the Laws of Zambia. In the first count, details are that Yabe and Mbolela, on dates unknown but between 1st and 30th June 2013 in Mansa, while employed as clerks at FRA, jointly and whilst acting together with intent to defraud FRA made false entries into FRA documents, a matter or transaction concerning FRA, a public body. In the Second Count, details are that Yabe and Mbolela on dates unknown but between 1st and 31st July 2014 in Mansa, jointly and whilst acting together with intent to defraud FRA made false entries into FRA documents, a matter or transaction concerning FRA, a public body. In the third Count, details are that the duo, on dates unknown but between 1st and 30th June 2013 in Mansa, being persons employed in the public service stole K 7, 968.90, property of the Government of the Republic of Zambia, a matter concerning the FRA, a public body. In Count four, details are that Yabe and Mbolela, on dates unknown but between 1st January 2013 and 31st August 2013 in Mansa, whilst employed by FRA as data Entry Clerks, jointly and whilst acting together, uttered a false document with intent to defraud the Government of the Republic of Zambia by purporting that FRA clients had transported their Maize bags from the Mansa Main Depot when in fact not and used the number of bags they entered in the notes to show as though the said number of bags had been handled by the loaders when in fact not. Further, that the duo used the said number of bags to claim money through loaders wages, a matter or transaction that concerns FRA, a public body. The duo has since been released on bond and will appear in Court soon
