TYPHOON HAIYAN Numerous people have asked how they can help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Our contacts are still assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the recent storm. As ground assessments continue and recovery strategies begin to take shape, we will learn of more ways we can help. In the meantime, The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is supporting local teams in Cebu City and North Cebu in delivering truckloads of bottled water in the affected areas, potentially reaching an estimated 78,000 people with a 30-day supply of purified drinking water over the next few weeks. If you would like to donate to this effort, payments may be made to Sugar Land Baptist Church (tagged for Typhoon Haiyan) by mailing a check payable to CBF with Acct. 17000 in the memo line to Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, P.O. Box 101699, Atlanta, GA 30392-1699 by clicking this link to give online through CBF. As we learn of other opportunities to assist the victims of this devastating storm, we will keep you informed.
