Tackling Tongariro Mangatepopo Valley, Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Tongariro National Park, New Zealand Ive had the Tongariro Crossing on my mind a bit recently, as I am leading a workshop in the area in a couple of months and will be walking the track again in November. So I dug out this photo from the last time Liz (front and centre in this shot) and I walked New Zealands greatest day walk, in March 2012.
