Tad is having a good, restful day. His left hand and leg are getting easier to move around for his range of motion exercises. His right side seems more tense (surprising because the right brain was the side with the major damage), but he stretched and moved pretty well with some gentle coaxing. His belly is giving him trouble so hes going to start getting about a teaspoon of prune juice twice a day. Hopefully it helps. I think his medicines have got him all bound up inside. Poor guy. He got his stitches removed today! Still has some where his chest tubes were, but the main incision is pretty well healed. Theyve switched him from continuous feeds, to a bolus feed, where he will get a larger amount of milk through his tube every few hours rather than a small amount continuously. Other than that, and still working down the drug dosage and the oxygen, hes had a very uneventful weekend. Just how we like it.
