Tahiti Crew is looking for a bosun on a 50m M/Y private based in Tahiti until June 2014 Its a position for a SENIOR DECKHAND READY TO STEP ON A BOSUN POSITION YACHT REQUIREMENT: age 25-30, Nationality - will consider most, be able to pass strict background check, understanding, considerate, flexible person, Have good references both written and spoken. Must be capable of making a commitment to stay for a minimum of 12 months or more if suitable in the program. Hard working always a good attribute. Opportunity to be first considered for upward movement if a position opens up. Yacht is Private so does not do chartering. Family oriented guest groups. QUALIFICATIONS: STCW95, a license such as a Yachtmaster or similar is a plus, have a good knowledge of deck duties, understand good navigation techniques, be knowledgeable at tender handling, watch keeping, be able to communicate well with other as they will be overseeing some deck crew, able to work under the First Officer whom will give direction, be comfortable in the water and have water sports interests such as diving, kiteboarding, wake boarding etc. be interested with involvement in helicopter operations. Being an outdoors person also helps in our environment. ITINERARY: Current program includes cruising French Polynesia until April 2014 then move to Fiji and NZ to finish of 2014. After NZ back up into Pacific islands then over to Australia for 2015. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Wages are to Industry standards, benefits are excellent with good medical and dental coverage, accident and injury, one month’s holidays and one flight home per year, good shared accommodation with one other person, excellent entertainment and Internet access, assistance with education and training.
