Air Canada Vacations to introduce a currency surcharge as Canadian dollar continues to slide Montreal – January 17, 2014 – Given recent negative fluctuations in the value of the Canadian dollar versus a range of other currencies, Air Canada Vacations advises that effective January 27, 2014, they will apply a currency surcharge of $35 CAD per person on all new vacation bookings. This surcharge will be applicable to all vacation packages sold by Air Canada Vacations to all destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico & the USA for all new bookings for departures starting January 27, 2014. Air Canada Vacations prospective customers should book with us before January 27, 2014 to avoid the $35 currency surcharge application.
