Taken today, unedited, after being in 100 degree weather Kelly Irwin, you inspired me to do this. Actually, you and my kids. They are always making fun of me for not putting up bad and REAL pictures of me. Real- no makeup, no special angle to hide my fat. and they make a valid point. What is beauty? These two pictures were taken probably within a couple of months apart from each other. Amazing the difference makup makes, and no special angles, no alterations. There is so much more to us, than the cover of a book. The best part are the pages in between. Many times we dont open a book because of its cover. Movies the same way. If we dont give people the benefit of the doubt or based only on their looks , then we are seriously shallow. WE live in a society that makes us feel we NEED to look a certain way because we can be accepted. Woman are the worst at it , too. We feel ugly without makeup, without being thin, and who knows, maybe we arent that glamorous to look at. All of us have hangups, imperfections, under the guise of a magnify. We like to look our best and that is okay. For you, Kelly, I hope you believe me, that you, alone, no makeup, no alterations are very beautiful and extremely photogenic. and .. even if you werent (which you ARE) your middle pages, your story is worth reading and you, the true value of who you are, is in the middle , not the outside cover. I love you.
