Talk about making a splash! The new Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Norfolk features an amazing indoor water park, which HRRAs REALTOR and Affiliate members got to see yesterday before the grand opening weekend. HRRAs Commercial Alliance, in conjunction with Timmons Group, Creative, and Williams Mullen, held a sneak peek “Commercial Coffee” at the new 92,000-square-foot facility, which also features a 400-seat theater and 7,000-square-foot fitness center. Its located on Ballentine Boulevard on more than 8 acres in the city’s revitalized Broad Creek community. “The partnership between a not-for-profit like The Salvation Army and the City of Norfolk is a great example of looking beyond the limits of the previous industrial and retail uses to the possibilities of what could be created,” said Troy Brinkley, chairman of The Salvation Army’s Hampton Roads Area Command Advisory Board as well as HRRA’s Commercial Alliance. “The new Kroc Center will transform the heart of the community with recreation, fitness and the arts that minister to the body, mind and spirit of each person.” HRRA appreciates the sneak peek!
