Talked to the guy we did this 70 BSO shadow mask AMX for and he told me that he finally had nice enough weather way up north where he lives to take the car to a large show of over 150 cars and the took best of show! Over the years we have had numerous so called experts try to tell us all the things they think we do wrong when restoring our cars but yet again like every other car we do, this one took best of show at its first outing as does every other car we restore. We build our cars for people who love cars rather than just people who love AMCs and each new owner is always thrilled when their lowly AMC beats out cars costing 2X, 3X, 4X and sometimes even 10X what other cars at the shows they take top honors at cost. It doesnt get any better than that! We have another BSO 70 AMX, this one with a 4 spd, that we can do for some other discerning future owner who wants an award winning 70 AMX for themselves!
