Talking about Zubeida, please note that long time ago there was this news circulating everywhere that the prints of many old films including Indias first sound film Alam Ara (1931) were destroyed in a fire at NFAI in 2003. That is NOT true. According to National Film Archives of India, the print was Never with them. Ardeshir Irani son, Shapoorji Irani said that the reels of Alam Ara were disposed of as junk because they were creating a fire hazard. The films that got lost in the 2003 fire were mostly the original nitrate negatives of Prabhat Film Company which the NFAI had already copied to safety base.
