Talking to a guy who works at the hotel Im staying in. Bearing in mind, he works 7 days a week, 6am-11pm, and has to pay for any food/drink he has at the resort. He gets 7000 baht a month. Thats about £130. A MONTH! Hes even left his family in Burma to move here for work, because the work in Burma pays even less. And his salary stays the same every month, regardless of how many people stay or if they put room prices up for event purposes, he gets exactly the same amount. £130 a month. Jesus Christ, I can see why so many foreigners move to the UK.
