Tapping God’s Energy by ted olson leave a comment I’ve written a lot about the power that God wants to share with us. Generally, I’m referring to the incredible enhanced mental and spiritual power as well as the clarity and knowledge that accompany these. Now, this is huge, but God provides us even more.In The Divine Conspiracy, Dallas Willard discusses the story of Jesus and the Samaritan women at the well. It’s a fantastic story on so many levels. Willard focuses in on what Jesus says at the end.Basically, the disciples are hungry so they split to find food. When they come back they find him chatting with some girl at the well. They try to get him to eat something – they know he must be hungry too. But he replies: I have food to eat that you know nothing about.What was the food they didn’t know about?Jesus was so tapped into God’s power that he could absorb God’s energy for sustenance. God is “literally” feeding him with his energy. Sound crazy? Not really. Willard points out in Jesus what many of us know instinctively, have at least heard about, or perhaps have even experienced. Think of the monks that go for days without food. Or when we’re totally engrossed in a project that food is secondary.Jesus invites “all” people to come to God freely. There are no strings, despite what we’ve heard, been taught, or have experienced. He invites people to live and experience the kingdom of God – physically, mentally, and spiritually.Thanks for reading,~ Ted Olson
