Exclusive! Lionel Messi chose Jose Mourinho among the three best managers of 2014 at Monday nights FIFA awards ceremony, before admitting that he does not know where he will be playing next season. The Barcelona forward, who was runner-up to rival Cristiano Ronaldo for the coveted Ballon dOr award, is rumoured to be unsettled at the Camp Nou and a move to Mourinhos Chelsea has been mooted in recent weeks. The Portuguese was Messis third choice to win the managers award, after two of the Argentines former bosses Alex Sabella and Pep Guardiola, respectively. Mourinho is a great manager, Messi told reporters. Whether you like him or not as a person, you cant deny hes a great coach. On his future, the 27-year-old added: Im not sure whats going to happen, if one day Ill go back to [boyhood club] Newells and Im not sure where Ill be next year. Messi, who has a buyout clause of £195m, later backtracked on the comments surrounding his future. I have just realised what a reaction there has been to what I said, he admitted. I am not thinking about leaving at all. I was just saying in general that in football you never know what the future holds.
