Target & Univision Project: “Outstanding Latinas of the Year” Awards Ceremony in Hollywood (5 categories: Artist, Volunteer, Business Leader, Mother and Teacher/Coach of the year). Purpose: Recognize nationally outstanding Latinas of the year, as nominated by the community, while also providing free career planning assistance to event attendees. Solution: Lay the groundwork for the event with the development of a bold, colorful, illustration-style event brand and associated usage standards. The intent was to universally represent Latina women with a full range of skin tones. All UNO-created pre-event materials were bi-lingual to appeal to the entire Latino audience: Event/nomination awareness print campaign – poster and magazine ads in Latina and People En Español magazines Event invitation – specifically for press and community leaders to promote awareness and attendance Career Conference Event Invitation – generate attendee awareness and enrollment Event entrance and stage design – environmental branding Multi-media graphic design (including outdoor) – event awareness Promotional give-away bag – commemorate the event for attendees Outcome: The event attracted a sell-out crowd, amassing the largest number of attendees in its four-year history.
