Cool to cold with moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, locally fresh about the northeast. Weather Situation A low pressure system centred over Bass Strait will weaken as it continues east tonight, while a high to the southeast of Tasmania will strengthen, resulting in an easterly airstream. This flow will persist though tomorrow as the low moves slowly away across the Tasman Sea, and the high moves slowly away to the southeast of Tasmania. The flow is expected to tend more northerly during Monday as a weakening cold front approaches from the west. The cold front should then dissipate near the state early on Tuesday, with a northerly flow persisting as another front approaches from the west, with a low expected to form on this front just to the west of Tasmania.
