Weather Situation A high centred to the west of Tasmania will move slowly to the southwest of the state today as a low develops to the northeast of the state, with winds tending southeasterly. The high will move to the far south of Tasmania on Thursday and remain there on Friday with southeasterly winds persisting as the low strengthens and moves slowly southward, lying east of Tasmania late Friday.
