Tasmanian Medical Volunteers and Alola Australia have pleasure in inviting you to a screening of the remarkable documentary, Alias Ruby Blade, which follows Kirsty Sword Gusmao’s perilous journey with resistance leader, Xanana Gusmao, towards independence for Timor-Leste. The film which includes original footage presents a unique insight into the processes which eventually led to the creation of the new nation. Where: Stanley Burbury Theatre; University Centre; Sandy Bay Campus, Hobart When: Wednesday, 2 July 2014 Time: 7pm Cost: $20, which includes a complimentary drink Proceeds from the screening will help fund two groups closely involved in working in support of the people of Timor-Leste.
