Ac­cord­ing to the Tax Foun­da­tion, pass-through busi­nesses—sole pro­pri­etor­ships, part­ner-ships and S corps—em­ploy the ma­jor­ity of U.S. work-ers and con­tribute the ma-jor­ity of busi­ness in­come to the na­tional econ­omy. Yet con­cerns about tax rates hurt­ing their abil­ity to hire work­ers and in­vest in new equip­ment are largely ig­nored or waved off with a shrug and a con-de­scend­ing ad­mis­sion that we should “do some-thing for small busi­ness.” Thank the Congress for its commitment to stopping the madness.
